March 4, 2018 to April 28, 2018

A Colorado native, Vandy Vandervort was a teacher of secondary art in public schools for 31 years, mostly in Boulder County. She taught photography for 15 years, and has been using a camera since she was 7 years old. Her other passion has been travel. She has extensively traveled throughout Asia and across all 7 continents. Through her travels, Vandy discovered a love of photographing people. With the progression of technology, she has been exploring filter apps to enhance her camera-exposed images of women, men and children. She has been influenced by the work of photographer Steve McCurry. As a state semi-finalist for the “Teacher in Space” program, taking her camera into space would be her ultimate trip.

The title of her current NCAR exhibit is “Infinite Diversities in Infinite Combinations (homage to Gene R.)” Vandy has been working on several additional series to look forward to: ”APPitude”, “Let’s Face It”, and “Spirit Houses”.
