Teachers! Would you like a climate expert to visit your class? Climate Voices – Science Speakers Network is helping people get information about climate science. The project, a collaboration of the United Nations Foundation and UCAR, is pairing scientists with communities who want to learn more.
To find a climate scientist who will speak at your school, head online to Climate Voices and click the “Find a Speaker” button. There are scientists in all 50 U.S. states who have signed up as volunteers and are ready to talk with your students about climate change, either in-person or online via Skype.
Hopefully, Climate Voices will encourage more conversations about the science of climate change so that everyone can understand. Once your students know the science, they can consider what types of action to take.
