National Science Digital Library Resource Center

The National Science Digital Library (NSDL) is a national network of digital envirionments dedicated to advancing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) teaching and learning for all learners, in both formal and informal settings.


Graduate student and undergraduate interns use high performance computing for scientific discovery and modeling at the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL), an organization within NCAR.

Engineering Mentors


Allison Barto is the Program Manager for the James Webb Space Telescope at Ball Aerospace where she leads the team responsible for delivering the optics and electronics for the 22-foot-wide telescope.  When it launches to orbit the Sun one million miles from Earth in 2018, JWST will be the most sensitive, largest aperture
