Emma Hagen

Emma works on the UCAR SciEd Teaching and Learning team to coordinate project timelines, develop and implement processes, budget management, graphic design, and support public and K-12 program scheduling. Her work also supports direct funded projects on a variety of subject matters, from ocean observing to ground-level ozone bioindicator gardens. She serves on several internal project teams and initiatives. She contributes to outreach efforts through planning and staffing public events and managing SciEd social media.
Additionally, Emma is the current Chair of the UCP Early Career Assembly (ErCA) (2024-2026), which supports early career staff in all job categories in her broader entity. She leads a 9-person Steering Committee to support an Assembly of 44 members.
Emma has her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a certificate in Public Health from CU Boulder, with hopes of continuing her formal education journey in the future.
