Join us for an in-person workshop at the iconic NSF NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder, Colorado, where we’ll be exploring the best ways to incorporate climate science learning into elementary lessons you already teach. Bring an idea or topic you’d like to integrate with climate science and we’ll help you develop it into a lesson plan!
 

In this workshop, we’ll share:

  • Ways to introduce climate to elementary school students, including talking about climate change, solutions and adaptations
  • Tips for pairing climate learning with math, social studies, and language arts lessons you already use in your classroom
  • Tips to help your students feel connected to their environment and empowered to help address climate change
  • Our own pre-designed, standards-aligned, multidisciplinary climate science lesson plans


Cost: $30 (lunch and snacks provided) 

  • 0.5 graduate-level credit from the Colorado School of Mines available for an extra $50 fee.
